Adjusting to College
Adjusting to college has been pretty hard. Everything changed at once. You had to make new friends, you weren't in a familiar setting, and for a lot of people you're no longer living at home. In the beginning this adjustment was really hard for me because the second week of school my grandma died. This was hard because I didn't have my family with me and I had to miss class to go to the funeral. The week after this was pretty rough; things were getting really stressful. After this things started to get better. I met a good group of friends. Things are still pretty stressful and theres still more adjusting to do but its better than it was.
Guest Speaker 2
Three women came in to talk about alcohol and other substances. The first two women talked about Monmouth's policies on alcohol. This was helpful because they explained a lot of important things that many people did not know before. Some things they explained were the good samaritan practice, and how Monmouth deals with underage drinking. The third woman had a whole presentation set up and this was also helpful because it gave us some facts about alcohol and drugs.
